As a Pakistani student if you want to study in Germany. Than minimum qualification which you need is intermediate or twelfth grade certificate. Twelfth grade certificate is not directly recognized in German universities. But with this minimum qualification of twelve years of basic education, you can study further in Germany. How? I will explain this later.

Pakistan basically has an education system in which minimum qualification is twelfth grade to take admission in a University. But in Germany the scenario is totally different. There you need minimum qualification of thirteen years to take admission in a university.

If your minimum qualification is Bachelor degree or Master Degree from Pakistan. Then you are directly eligible to take admission in German Universities. But, with twelfth grade certificate, you can not apply directly. It simply means that you are not eligible to take admission in German Universities with twelfth years of education.

To take admission in a German university after twelfth grade. First, you need to take admission in a preparation course which is called “Studienkolleg” (foundation course). After this preparation course, you can take admission in university for Bachelors degree program.

After completing twelfth grade (FA, FSC), where you can take admission in Germany?

If you have 12 years of education. Then just keep in mind these two points to understand further process.

That will make your basic education thirteen years. Simple formula for your better understanding is like this,

FSc (12 grade) + one year Studienkolleg + university entrance exam (Feststellungsprüfung).
