Letter of motivation is also called Expression of Interest or EOI. Both have the same structure of writing, but letter of motivation required only basic things and expression of interest required all information in detail. Students who want to apply in Germany they don’t need to worry about EOI, because this is only required for England or Australian Embassy not for German Embassy.
You need this letter of motivation, when you will go to submit your student “Visa File” in German Embassy. During the interview German Visa Officer will give you a Blank Page and request you to write a “Letter of Motivation” by your hand. He will just give you 5 minutes, so it is necessary for you to write all the basic things in your letter of motivation in that five minutes.
That’s why it is important for students to memorize the letter of motivation in a good way. The good way to memorize is the practice by hand, like you practice the written tests of IELTS. Some students write letter of motivation in computer and take the print and attached with the file and when visa officer asked to write by hand then they face problem and do the mistakes. My suggestion for this letter of motivation is that, you must prepare all your documents by your own and clearly make an objective about your decision to study in Germany. So, prepare answers of all these questions with clear mind,
- Why you want to study in Germany?
- Why you choose German University for study?
- Why you choose this course or field for study?
- After completing this course or degree which benefit you will get in your own country?
Because it is necessary for you to write answers of this questions in your letter of motivation. Visa officer asked to write by hand because he want to analyze that what is in your mind, what are your intentions to go to Germany. Either you are a genuine student or not, because in 5 minutes, you can write anything wrongly which can create trouble for you. So, simple thing this that must prepare short and precise answers of these questions. Preparation will help you to maintain the time and you will be able to write all the things in your letter.
After these important points, now I will tell you about content of letter of motivation. Keep in mind that you will have 5 mins and you need to write only one page, so cover all these things precisely in one page letter. Bellow is the content list and sample of letter of motivation for German Embassy. You can change letter of motivation according to your degree and experiences.
- Where you want to study and which Course or Degree
- Previous Education (only take about latest previous degree)
- Work Experience (if you have)
- Why you want to study this course degree in Germany?
- Why you choose Germany for study?
- Tell little bit about yourself
- End (Write you name)
